MinuteView Installation


Follow this guide for a detailed, step-by-step walkthrough of the MinuteView Server installation process.

Prerequisites

MinuteView License Download

  1. Save provided MinuteView license file into the Windows Server downloads folder.

  1. After downloading a MinuteView license file, right-click the file and select "Properties". Select the "Unblock" checkbox and click "OK".

  1. Download the latest version of MinuteView from the Tentech downloads page into the Windows Server downloads folder.

  1. Right-click the downloaded MinuteView-Server.exe file and select properties. Unblock the file.

  1. Run the MinuteView installation file to begin the installation.

  1. Note the installation folder. The installation location may be changed, however it's recommended to leave the default installation location as is.

TTCache Folder

Created a folder on the server C:\TTCache. This folder will be used to store the MinuteView cache files.

TIP

If needed, a different folder can be specified to act as the Minute View Cache folder. Simply replace C:\TTCache with the desired folder path in the MinuteView web.config file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Tentech\Tentech.MinuteViewServer\Web.config.

Verify MinuteView Install

MinuteView IIS

Once the MinuteView installation has completed, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) manager and browse to the MinuteView site location to confirm its creation.

Or alternatively, using an internet browser verify the MinuteView site creation by navigating to the /MinuteView page on the server:

http://localhost/MinuteView

The MinuteView Store SQL Details and Licensing Details page will display.

Store SQL Details

Enter the following details to establish an MSSQL database connection:

  • SQL Server Name
  • SQL Instance Name (is typically AUTODESKVAULT)
  • SQL Username sa
  • SQL Password for the sa account

TIP

The default SA password for an Autodesk Instance is AutodeskVault@26200. Or otherwise, check with the System Administrator account for SQL Server if the password is not the set default.

Licensing Details

Browse and select the MinuteView Server license file that was previously downloaded, then click Store Credentials and Setup.

Initial Sign-In

For the initial sign-in to MinuteView, use the following credentials:

Username: MVAdmin
Password: ^EbF#teLG3GDQoD@

Password Reset

WARNING

For security reasons, it's essential to reset the MVAdmin password immediately after the first login. Navigate to the user settings or profile area to change the password.

From following this guide, the following should be now be complete;

  1. MinuteView Installed onto the Vault Server
  2. A connection established between MSSQL Database and MinuteView
  3. MinuteView licensing implemented
  4. Initial sign-in to MinuteView via MVAdmin account.

You may now continue on to configuring MinuteView and its modules via the Console.
