User Management

Add Vault User

For Vault users to successfully authenticate and log-in to MinuteView, such as when they're needing to action a Capture Review or access Mesh, that user must first be added to a Vault User Group via Vault Global Settings.

Define Vault User Group

Vault User Management

In this example, we have "Edward Engineer" as part of the Vault "Engineering" group. Edward typically logs into Vault with his Vault account "EEngineer".

Import Vault User Group into MinuteView

Console User Management Groups

  1. Click on Console.
  2. Select the User Management tab.
  3. Select Groups.
  4. Click "Import from Vault"
  5. Expand the dropdown.
  6. Select the Vault Groups that will be allowed to access and use MinuteView and the various Minute Modules (Mesh, Capture etc...)
  7. Click "Import".

Import Vault Group

With these steps completed, Vault users who are part of this "Engineering" group may now access MinuteView.

Define User Group Roles

Importantly, the Group itself must be assigned MinuteView roles that define which area of MinuteView these users may access.

User Management Roles

  1. Click on the Roles side tab.
  2. Create a name for the Role, in this example "Engineering Access"
  3. Select the Minute Modules applicable to this role, typically AccessCapture and AccessMesh.

With the Role defined, return back to the Engineering Group configuration and assign the role to the group.

Assign Role To Group

  1. Click Groups.
  2. Through the Roles selection drop-down, select "Engineering Access".

MinuteView Vault User Login

Vault users from within the Vault Engineering group will now be able to log into MinuteView using their Vault credentials and access the role defined MinuteView modules.
