Home Configuration

The Home Configuration page lets administrators define the global Home dashboard that users see when they click Home in MinuteView. It controls which shortcut tiles appear, how they are grouped, and whether individual shortcuts require a logged-in session to be visible.

How It Works

  • The Home page displays grouped shortcut tiles that link to key areas within MinuteView.
  • Administrators can add, edit, or remove both groups and shortcuts.
  • Visibility of a shortcut can be limited to authenticated users via a Requires Login flag.

Default Groups

The standard groups (tiles) available are:

  • Analytics & Monitoring
  • Mesh
  • Minute Configurator
  • Minute Capture
  • Minute Controller
  • Automations
  • Settings
  • Support

You can customise existing groups and add new ones as needed.

Managing Groups

  1. Select a group tile (e.g., Mesh).
  2. View the list of existing shortcuts inside that group.
  3. Click New to add a shortcut, or select an existing shortcut to edit/delete it.

You may also create entirely new groups if your environment requires additional categories.

Managing Shortcuts

When you open or create a shortcut, you can configure:

  • Label – The text shown on the Home tile.
  • URL – The destination when the shortcut is clicked.
  • Requires Login (checkbox) – If enabled, the shortcut is hidden until the user is logged into MinuteView. Once authenticated, the shortcut becomes visible.

Actions

  • Save – Persist your changes.
  • Delete – Remove the shortcut from the group.
  • Discard/Cancel – Exit without saving.

Best Practices

  • Group by Function: Keep related shortcuts together (e.g., all AI/search-related links under Mesh).
  • Keep It Lean: Avoid clutter—only show shortcuts that add value to most users.
  • Use Requires Login Wisely: Hide admin-only or sensitive links from unauthenticated visitors.

  • User Management – Control who can log in and what they can access.
  • Automations Engine URL – Ensure shortcuts pointing to Automations or APIs resolve correctly.
