Console Overview

The Console is the central administration area for all MinuteView configuration. If a setting is not user‑specific or client‑side, it is managed here.

Purpose

  • Provide a single place to configure and maintain all global MinuteView options.
  • Manage system objects such as service accounts, roles, integrations, logs, and module settings.
  • Control who can access administrative functions.

Access on First Install

  • After a fresh installation, only the MVAdmin account can sign in to the Console.
  • Use MVAdmin to bootstrap your environment: create additional users, define roles, and grant Console access to others.

Granting Access to Others

  1. Sign in as MVAdmin.
  2. Navigate to Users to create user accounts (or import/sync if applicable).
  3. Navigate to Roles/Permissions and create roles that include Console access permissions.
  4. Assign roles to users who should administer MinuteView.

When to Use the Console

Use the Console whenever you need to:

  • Adjust Global Settings (e.g., authentication method, log retention, service accounts).
  • Configure Integrations (Autodesk Vault, Elasticsearch, AI providers, etc.).
  • Manage Automations Engine endpoints or legacy API settings.
  • Review Job History and debug logs.
  • Maintain Service Accounts, security settings, and other system resources.

If you are unsure where a configuration lives, start by checking the Console.

Not Covered by the Console

  • Per-user preferences (UI themes, personal saved searches, etc.).
  • Client-side/browser-only settings specific to an individual workstation or session.

Next Steps

  • Proceed to Global Settings to configure foundational options.
  • Review Service Accounts before enabling Mesh or AI features.
