AI Chat Setup

Follow this Minute Mesh usage guide to enable AI Chat in your Mesh Search.

Open AI Settings

1. Log into the following OpenAI platform site. If needed, create an account.

2. On the Settings panel on the left-hand side, create a Project named "MinuteView" or something similar.

3. Create a Service Account to service that project.

4. Note the API Key, copy it into notepad. Once you've dismissed the API key, you can't review it again (and if an API key is lost, follow the steps from step #2).

5. OpenAI offers a range of language models, each with their own costings, advantages and disadvantages. Their latest general model (at time of writing) is gpt-4o-2024-08-06

6. Select the models that are available under this project. Typically for the use of MinuteView Mesh Chat, only one model is needed.

7. Define the payment methods, payment preferences and payment usage limits and monthly spends.

MinuteView Mesh Setup

Navigate to MinuteView Console -> Global Settings -> Mesh Setup

Expand/Add the settings to match the screenshot, then follow the steps below.

1. Enable AI Results
2. Place your API Key from the previous step 4 under Open AI Settings.
3. Copy in the name of your target Chat Model, that was enabled under the previous step 5 under Open AI Settings.

With these settings in place, you should now have Chat enabled in your Mesh Search. Open up a new Mesh Search and check that Chat is now online and responsive.
