Console – Global Settings

Overview

The Console is the central administration hub in MinuteView. It allows administrators to configure how the platform behaves across all modules.

When you open the Console, you’ll land by default on the Global Settings tab. Global Settings contain important options for login preferences, system logs, service accounts, integrations, and search connections.

Other tabs in the Console (such as User Management, Service Accounts, Mesh Sources, and more) provide different administration tools. This page focuses only on the Global Settings tab.

Global Settings Features

Preferred Login Method

Choose which login page users see first:

  • MinuteView Login – Users log in with their MinuteView username and password. (Default option)
  • Autodesk Vault Login – Users log in using their Autodesk Vault account credentials.

Job Log Lifespan

Set how long system job history is kept before being automatically cleaned up.

  • Default is 365 days.
  • Shortening the time can reduce database size; lengthening it keeps a longer audit trail.

PowerShell AI Service Account

If you use the built-in PowerShell editor, you can connect an AI-enabled service account.
This allows you to run scripts with AI assistance. Service accounts are created separately in the Service Accounts tab and then selected here.

Automations Engine URL

Enter the address of your Automations Engine.
This tells MinuteView where to send automation workflows.

Authentication Integrations

If you selected Autodesk Vault as your login method, enter the following:

  • Vault URL – the address of your Vault server
  • Vault Name – the name of your Vault database/instance

API Configuration (Advanced Users)

This section is for advanced and legacy use only.
It lets you configure custom API endpoints that are powered by PowerShell scripts.
⚠️ Note: This section is being phased out and replaced by the Automations framework. New setups should not rely on this option.

Data Viewer (Advanced Users)

Allows administrators to create custom pages powered by API data and PowerShell scripts.

  • Can include custom HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Accessible from a special Data Viewer URL

This feature is primarily for advanced administrators or developers.

Search Connection (MinuteMesh)

If you are using MinuteMesh (AI-powered search), configure the following:

  • ElasticSearch Service Account – credentials for your search index
  • AI Service Account – credentials for AI/ML-powered search features

If you are not using MinuteMesh, you can ignore this section.
